We are a startup based in Hungary, who used to make graphic design and web interfaces mainly. But we always liked other challenging side projects, like it was the case with our earlier solar powered bookcases. Living in the times of climate crisis we believe it is very important to achieve sustainability in as many ways as possible. That is how the idea of Kuube was conceived. In 2017 we (Máté Gallai, executive manager, and Gábor Mátray, product designer/lead developer) started to work on the plans of Kuube in our free time. These plans had an entirely different design to the KuubePLUS and KuubeNANO smartbenches we manufacture now. We have been working on KuubeECO since 2020.
For us, it is essential to produce smart furniture that combines innovative technology and sustainability. That is why we have chosen to work with solar energy, so that we can work on domestic and international smart city developments for a sustainable future. We hope that the smart city approach will become more and more widespread in Hungary as well, and more and more smart solutions will be integrated into the often isolated urban lifestyle that will bring people closer together. With our smart benches, we want to help with that and appear in more and more communities.
