We are a startup based in Hungary, who used to make graphic design and web interfaces mainly. But we always liked other challenging side projects, like it was the case with our earlier solar powered bookcases. Living in the times of climate crisis we believe it is very important to achieve sustainability in as many ways as possible. That is how the idea of Kuube was conceived. Five years ago we (Máté Gallai, executive manager, and Gábor Mátray, product designer/developer) started to work on the plans of Kuube in our free time. These plans had an entirely different design to the KuubePLUS and KuubeNANO smartbenches we manufacture now. We have been working on KuubeECO since 2020.
From the summer of 2020, the long-established company Tungsram has become our official distribution partner. For us, it is essential to produce smart furniture that combines innovative technology and sustainability and we know that these goals are also important for Tungsram. The company has been actively involved in the development of smart cities since 2019 and, due to its Hungarian roots, it supports Hungarian businesses and startups in this field. That is why we are glad to be able to work together on domestic and international smart city developments for a sustainable future.
